BANQUET

It’s only nightfall, the stars are shy and the moon is sad…

Last night angels danced naked at the maker’s ball…

But the queen of heaven saw reasons to ponder and reload in awe at the faultless and matchless train

One that filled eternity because there was no measure to describe the trail…

In that gathering, there was a lamb and a lion in one skin, new wine was served and judgement was given

The host was queried because the cry of men had ascended from the ashes…when creation was marred!

In our moments, we see the world as black, a dark place void of light…

Grasping for the unreachable, groping in the vastness of vacuum, as our actions daily deem the glow!

How bizarre and inconvenient for the sons of men, as they renew the groves and altars of baal…

Defying their temples, drinking the wines that stare red at them in their own scarlet raiment

Dividing the spoils from the poor and the portions of widows, maiming the young and renting the earth…

At the ball, a throne of jasper and sardine stone, a ball of light sat in it to dispel the darkness and heal the nations…

But just as enquiries began, a few men swore to be axes and swords, not mere vessel of clay, neither brass nor fine gold decorative vases

They pledged their lives to avenge the light, and then judgement began!

The stars became shy as the moon smiled sadly!

The lamb had shown no nature of a sheep but of a lion, roaring judgment of the wicked, clearing none guilty…

Blood and water sprinkled on all who had pledged, as beautiful songs and poetry cleansed the air!

Then it came to pass that as angels danced naked, relentlessly in service of the king, the earth wobbled and trembled as the thunderous melody of the voice…

This was the banquet beyond the skies, no regular at all…
